Science Station @ Lindale Now Open!

Science Station @ Lindale, our interim location on the main floor of Lindale Mall, is now open.  Stop in anytime (we're open 7 days a week over the summer), to see our brand new Early Childhood Area, traveling exhibit Antarctica's Climate Secrets, and some of our popular exhibits from downtown.  You can also purchase or renew your membership, buy fun science stuff in Curiosity Shop, or sign up for summer camp.  NOTE:  Our downtown exhibit gallery is NOT open.

	Cedar Rapids Camp Drop-Off and Pick-Up Options for Drop-Off: 1. Take advantage of our curb-side drop-off and pick-up, which is located in a recessed mall location directly to the left of our main floor location. (PREFERRED OPTION) 2. Take your children directly downstairs to our lower level camp site, taking the escalator off center court, by the fountain. With either option, on Monday, you will receive your set of pick-up passes for the week, which will be needed in order to release your child at the end of camp. If you want them in advance so you can carpool, stop on the main floor and pick them up. Tell the check-in person if you want to pick up your child downstairs, or they will be taken to the drop-off location with the other children. Remember -- if you did not elect before-camp or after-camp supervision, please bring your child to camp within 10 minutes of start and pick up within 10 minutes of close. Thank you for your cooperation.

	Sign Up for Summer Camp Now! Summer camp is now in session, but enrollment continues. Review the LIST OF FULL CLASSES SHOWN BELOW. If your class is NOT shown, feel free to enroll, keeping in mind that there may only be one or two spaces left in a remaining class. If the class you want is full, call to inquire about the length of the wait list. 	Girl Scouts Go Global  Science Station participated in the Girl Scout event "Go Global" May 9th 2009. We shared information about organic composting. For more information on organic compost follow this link.

	Downtown Location Closed Until Further Notice The Science Station's downtown location is closed indefinitely due to the aftermath of last June's floods. Planning is underway to determine how we can best serve the community's critical need for science and technology education. Photographs of the flood damage and the recovery process are posted in the Photo Gallery section of this website.
