Upgraded
Technology means a wider variety of available films
Due to popular demand and the generosity of local donors, The
Science Station-McLeod/Busse IMAX® Dome Theatre upgraded
its projection system in June of 2003, allowing a greater
flexibility in its lineup of outstanding films. A new IMAX®
technology, digital re-mastering (DMR), allows theatres to
run longer films that have gone through an extensive process
to be shown on the IMAX screen. The Science Station chose
The Lion King as its first DMR film due to its strong connection
to the mission of the organization. Look for more feature-length
films to be added to the schedule in the future.
