Parent Assisted Learning science classes are a great way for children between the ages of 3 and 5 to explore science in an interactive, hands-on setting. Children bring their favorite adult to explore and discover science in the museum setting. Dinosaurs was the focus of the adult/child classes for October 2007. Each class included a make and take activity, songs and movement activities, and a themed literature activity. The January 2008 series featured sea creatures and insects is the feature for the current series!
Classes will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on specific days, and offered as a four-week series. To obtain additional information and to register, contact the Early Childhood Educator at 319 363-4629 ext. 107. Science Station members receive a discount on class fees.
