Drop 'N Shop

DROP your kids off at the Science Center while you SHOP for holiday gifts!  Check out these snow-tastic science sessions:

Winter Workshop: November 30~5:30-7:30 p.m.                        In this lab, we'll build structures with marshmallows, gumdrops, and toothpicks! We'll also create designs using a Roger’s Magnet Set, make our own puzzles, and construct a yummy Gingerbread House to take home!

Christmas Chemistry: December 8~10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.      Get ready to discover polymers by making bouncy balls, explore states of matter by constructing paper weights and snow globes, and create bath salts and lip balms.

Fire and Ice: December 14~5:30-7:30 p.m.                        Discover how fire can create a cloud in a bottle, make scented candles, observe dry ice at its greatest, experiment with fake snow, and build an igloo out of sugar cubes!

Announcing Fall Programs at the Science Center!

Mark your calendars for our exciting fall programs! 

We are excited to offer five new STEM-based workshops for kids of all ages! We are partnering with the EpiCenter to bring you these exciting, hands-on classes, each one featuring a different science-based theme: 

·         11/17: Deconstruction Zone - E-Waste Forensics

·         12/01: Inventor's Workshop 

·         12/15: Design Squad

Preschool Power Hour will now be offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:15-11:15am.  We provide science demos and hands-on activities for your little ones. The same great program is offered twice a week to catch all the preschoolers and is FREE with Gallery admission.  Download the brochure for more information.

Did you know the Science Center has a homeschool science club for 2nd-5th graders? Check out our revamped homeschool schedule and format. Once a month from 10-11:45am, we provide social time for homeschooling families, hands-on activities for students, and additional resources for parents to extend the learning at home. The Science Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday noon-5pm. Admission during public hours is $3.00. Located at Lindale Mall, the museum has ample parking and is conveniently located between First Avenue and Collins Road.
