Volunteering

Are you looking for something new and different to do during your spare time?  Enjoy a rewarding experience when you become part of the Science Station’s volunteer team!  There are a variety of opportunities for all skill levels and interests for ages 14 and up.  During the summer, the Science Station also utilizes Middle and High School students in its STARS Volunteer Program.  The rewards of working with the public in this friendly pleasant atmosphere are endless.

Who Volunteers:

  • High School and College Students
  • Adults of all ages
  • Middle School and High School Students for Summer Camp STARS

Getting Started:

  • Consider your schedule and when you would be available to volunteer.  Some of our volunteers prefer a weekly assignment while others want to volunteer on an on-call basis.
  • Fill out a volunteer application.  You can pick one up at the Science Station, or print one from the APPLY NOW section below.   STARS volunteers require a separate volunteer form.
  • Attend our volunteer orientation; we will introduce you to the different areas of opportunities and provide training to help you get started.

Why Volunteer:

  • Get personal satisfaction from helping others.
  • Meet new people and make new friends.
